About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and bilingual Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. In this role, you will support individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities to live as independently as possible while promoting dignity, respect, and community inclusion. Spanish fluency is required to effectively communicate with the individuals we serve and their families.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and support to individuals in their homes and in the community
Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, cooking, and medication reminders
Support individuals in reaching personal goals and building life skills
Document daily activities, progress, and incidents accurately
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and family members
Maintain a safe and respectful environment
Requirements:
Must speak, read, and write fluently in Spanish and English
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass background checks and any required training
Compassionate, patient, and dependable
Previous experience in caregiving or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
