Event Parking Attendant | Seasonal, Hourly
Activated Events is hiring Parking Attendants to welcome arriving guests, verify parking passes, and process on-site parking sales at our 2026 Smoke Show music festival at Gilbert Regional Park on Saturday, October 24th (10:00 AM – 8:30 PM). You’ll be one of the first people our guests meet. You’ll work an assigned lane in one of our four lots (Main, ADA, Mill, or General) alongside our traffic team. The job is simple: greet every guest, scan the pass or ring up the sale, keep your lane moving, and keep it safe and friendly. Your shift starts with a paid briefing, device demo, and setup one hour before parking opens.
What You’ll Do
- Greet arriving guests professionally and create a positive first impression of the event
- Scan prepaid parking passes and confirm each one is valid for the correct date, lot, and parking category before allowing entry
- Process on-site parking sales accurately using company-provided scanners and payment devices, and issue the required receipt or parking credential
- Keep your assigned lane moving efficiently during peak arrival periods without cutting corners
- Keep your tickets, cash, and devices secure at all times, and reconcile sales and cash with your lead at closeout
- Direct guests who need accessible parking to the designated ADA lot or alert your lead
- Refer invalid passes, declined payments, device issues, or difficult guest interactions to your Parking Lead. You’re never expected to handle it yourself
- Wear your safety vest, stay in your designated safe position, and follow the traffic team’s directions at all times
- Follow all Activated Events safety procedures, policies, and uniform standards
What We’re Looking For
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Customer service, cashier, retail, or event experience is a plus but not required
- Comfortable handling card and cash transactions and learning handheld devices
- Sharp attention to detail and good situational awareness around moving vehicles
- Comfortable on your feet outdoors for a full 10 hour shift
- Friendly, calm demeanor, even during busy arrival rushes
- Available for the full shift on October 24, plus evenings, weekends, and holiday event dates for future shows
Pay: $18.00/hour, non-exempt. Subject to applicable state minimum wage requirements
