The Solar Energy Consultant identifies, educates, and guides residential customers through the transition to solar energy solutions, from initial outreach and site assessment to proposal, financing options, and contract close. They collaborate with design, engineering, and installation teams to ensure a smooth customer experience and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and qualify leads through Door 2 Door outreach, referrals.
- Conduct needs assessments, site pre-qualification, and utility bill analysis to determine system viability.
- Prepare and present customized proposals, including system size, production estimates, savings analyses, incentives/rebates, and financing options.
- Use solar design tools to model systems and set realistic performance expectations for clients.
- Educate customers on net metering, interconnection and warranties.
- Negotiate terms and close deals in alignment with margin targets and compliance requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local codes, permitting, utility interconnection rules, and incentive programs.
- Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and customer satisfaction goals
