What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit/Collection Specialist position at Activar Brand?
POSITION PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for increasing sales and profits by establishing credit guidelines and collecting receivables while preserving our relationship with our customers.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Review credit worthiness of prospective accounts, set up as required.
• Continually review existing accounts to ensure proper terms and limits.
• Follow up on problem accounts and monitor payments.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Set up and maintain schedule of collection calls.
• Call on past due invoices while ensuring customer retention.
• Work with customer service to release orders or communicate issues in a timely manner.
• Communicate difficult collection issues to department manager.
• Adhere to all company standards and policies.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required:
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial collections
Preferred:
• Experience in account reconciliation
• Customer service experience

Starting hourly pay range: $26.00 - $28.00
