Plant Manager - Automotive Parts Manufacturer (34301)

An automotive parts manufacturer based in Lexington, KY is seeking an experienced Plant Manager. This is a full-time and direct hire role, requiring strong operational management skills, previous experience in high-volume or automotive parts manufacturing, and a positive, team-oriented mindset.

Plant Manager Responsibilities:

• Lead overall operations for a high-volume automotive parts manufacturer
• Direct and oversee production planning, continuous improvement activities, capital equipment improvement, and quality assurance projects
• Coordinate, plan and execute plant operation activities to optimize customer production and new launches, in consultation with project managers and team members
• Oversee budgeting, manpower and labor requirements, quality and compliance, and production forecasting
• Manage KPIs and support the process of gathering data to determine overall production efficiency, and use this data to implement measures designed to support continuing success
• Work with management to prepare and distribute performance targets, budget, and reports
• Work with plant health and safety teams to address any issues in a prompt, timely manner
• Other duties as required

Plant Manager Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field is required
• Several years of prior work experience in a high-volume manufacturing plant, preferably within the automotive industry or a lean manufacturing environment
• Strong, proven people management skills, including excellent organizational and communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and maintain positive relationships at all levels of plant production.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement activities, including lean methodologies, Kaizen, Gemba walks, etc.
• Familiarity with quality standards and ISO certification requirements
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in ERP and inventory management software, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel
