We are seeking an experienced and innovative Korean/ English Bilingual Corporate Sushi to oversee the culinary standards, training, and quality control across all our kiosks and restaurant locations. This role requires expertise in both sushi and ramen preparation to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality across our entire food service operation. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for Japanese cuisine, and the ability to train and develop chefs while optimizing operations.
Korean/ English Bilingual Corporate Sushi Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enforce standardized sushi and ramen preparation techniques to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality across all locations.
- Conduct regular site visits to evaluate chef performance, food handling practices, and produce freshness across sushi kiosks and ramen restaurants.
- Implement portion control, ingredient usage, and cost management strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining high culinary standards.
- Develop new sushi and ramen menus, collaborating with the purchasing team to source high-quality ingredients while staying aligned with market trends and customer preferences.
- Create and execute comprehensive training programs for sushi and ramen chefs to improve skills, adherence to company standards, and operational efficiency.
- Work with regional managers to streamline kitchen workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and improve overall food prep processes to maintain consistency and minimize waste.
- Provide feedback to chefs on enhancing food presentation and customer interaction, and support marketing initiatives including promotions, menu rollouts, and special events.
- Other duties assigned by higher management.
Korean/ English Bilingual Corporate Sushi Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a sushi chef or ramen chef in a high-volume restaurant, catering service, or supermarket setting.
- Prior experience in a multi-unit or corporate chef role is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, including sushi preparation, ramen broth making, and noodle cooking.
- Able to speak in Korean language more than conversational level.
- Expertise in food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines.
- Excellent training, leadership, and team management skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced retail and restaurant environment.
- Willingness to travel to multiple locations for training and quality assurance.
- Basic understanding of cost control, pricing strategy, and supply chain management is a plus.
