Summary:
An international IT services & solutions provider serving the automotive industry located near Plano, TX, is looking for a motivated Accounting Specialist. The ideal candidate should have foundational experience in accounting tasks.
Responsibilities
- Record and post journal entries; reconcile daily and monthly transactions.
- Manage accounts receivable and process accounts payable invoices.
- Prepare and execute online banking payments, issue checks, and oversee cash transactions.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations and report findings to management.
- Maintain vendor and customer account records, including updates and closures.
- Respond to AP/AR inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and handle special billing requests.
- Support tax compliance tasks, including sales tax filings.
- Assist with month-end close, payroll processing, and general ledger updates.
- Participate in special projects and process improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a related field, and at least one-three year of experience in general accounting.
- Proficiency in Japanese in a plus
- Basic understanding of accounting terms and principles.
- At least one year of experience working in a corporate environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Reliable in meeting deadlines and maintaining a professional work ethic and demeanor in all interactions.
