Process Engineer - Assembly (35867)

A global automotive parts manufacturer based out of the Pendleton, Indiana area is seeking a new Process Engineer to support their assembly department. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an automotive manufacturing environment and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Process Engineer Responsibilities:

• Support the assembly process, including developing and improving new procedures, troubleshooting issues affecting quality, consistency, or production efficiency
• Develop tooling and other equipment for assembly
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams and members, including technicians, engineers, and management, to work towards cost reduction and continuous improvement
• Run trials to evaluate effectiveness of existing methods and equipment and suggest areas for improvement as needed
• Work hands-on with equipment and tooling to support testing and troubleshooting
• Other duties as assigned

Process Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Prior engineering experience in a high-volume, high-precision, fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with industrial automation in assembly processes, including experience with CNC machinery and controls and robotics
• Must be able to read machine diagrams, including but not limited to blueprints, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Experience with technical drawing software (2D or 3D AutoCAD, Inventor, Solidworks, etc.) also required.
• Strong organizational, communicational, and collaborative skills are required
• While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
