JOB SUMMARY:
The Driver Settlement Coordinator is a part of the team responsible for processing pay for over 500 drivers, including Company Drivers, Lease Purchase and Owner Operators. This is a fast-paced environment which requires attentions to detail, excellent time management and customer service skills. As a member of the driver settlement team you must be committed to ensuring the drivers are paid accurately and timely.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Investigate, provide solutions, and correct payroll discrepancies
- Effectively and professionally communicate with various departments, including but not limited to driver dispatch, billing, to ensure accurate processing of driver pay
- Support to drivers through terminal contact with concern and questions regarding pay discrepancies
- Effectively process payroll weekly for both Company Drivers & Owner Operators while maintaining established payroll deadlines in a time critical environment
- Identify areas of opportunity for improvement as part of the company's continuous improvement efforts
- Develop process improvement plans with driver settlement team to resolve issues affecting our department
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality
- Understand & support change as it relates to processes, structure & business modeling
- Demonstrate teamwork and a spirit of collaboration to help foster a positive work environment
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented person with strong time-management and organizational skills
- While previous experience in the transportation industry & payroll department are a plus, it is not a required
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
