What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Support Specialist position at Action Vibratory Equipment?
ACTION is seeking a highly skilled Field Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide on-site technical support, service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for our customers’ equipment. When not working in the field or preparing for travel, you will support production operations as a fitter/fabricator, helping manufacture new equipment.
This position is ideal for someone with strong fabrication experience who enjoys problem-solving and working directly with customers in dynamic industrial environments.
What You'll Do
- Conduct service, installation, repair, and testing of ACTION equipment at various industrial sites
- Travel frequently throughout the U.S. and internationally
- Diagnose and perform root cause analysis on equipment issues
- Execute repairs within scope and coordinate external vendor/contractor support when needed
- Follow all ACTION and customer safety procedures and protocols
- Collaborate with engineering, production, technical sales, and product support teams
- Create accurate trip notes, service reports, and record photo/video documentation
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Identify opportunities for equipment or parts sales and refer them to the sales team
- Perform fitter/fabricator duties in the production shop when not in the field
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Production Manager
What We're Looking For
- Experience in fabrication/fitting within an industrial equipment manufacturing environment
- Minimum 1 year of MIG welding experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/blueprints
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with computers and the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and the ability to obtain a passport for international travel
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building and/or servicing industrial equipment
- Customer interfacing experience
- Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment issues
- Bilingual or multilingual skills

Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
