Position Summary
We are seeking a driven and results-oriented IT Staffing Business Development Manager to join our growing staffing agency. This individual will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and expanding our footprint within the IT staffing and consulting market. The ideal candidate has experience selling IT staffing solutions, understands technical hiring needs, and has a proven track record of building long-term client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities for IT staffing and recruiting services.
- Build and maintain relationships with hiring managers, HR leaders, procurement teams, and executive stakeholders.
- Generate new client leads through cold calling, networking, LinkedIn outreach, referrals, industry events, and strategic prospecting.
- Conduct client meetings to understand hiring needs, workforce challenges, and project requirements.
- Partner closely with recruiters to deliver qualified candidates for contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire openings.
- Negotiate service agreements, pricing, and staffing terms with clients.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through account development and ongoing relationship management.
- Maintain accurate pipeline activity, sales forecasts, and client communication records within CRM systems.
- Stay informed on IT hiring trends, labor market conditions, and emerging technologies to better support clients.
- Consistently achieve or exceed sales and revenue targets.
Qualifications
- 3 years of business development or sales experience within the IT staffing or recruiting industry.
- Proven success generating new business and growing client accounts.
- Strong understanding of IT roles and technologies including software development, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, data, ERP, and DevOps.
- Experience selling contract staffing, contract-to-hire, and direct placement services.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build relationships with decision-makers at all organizational levels.
- Self-motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented mindset.
- Experience using CRM platforms and recruiting/staffing tools preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Preferred Experience
- Existing network of IT hiring managers or industry contacts.
- Experience working in a fast-paced staffing agency environment.
