Our client, a manufacturer and distributor of premium seafood products, is seeking a motivated Sales Manager to grow their business across the greater New York metropolitan area and contribute to key company operations beyond sales.
The Sales Manager will oversee a team of sales reps and expand sales within the New York metro area, developing strong relationships with existing customers while driving new business opportunities. They will establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the territory and contribute to the development of training and educational programs for clients and Sales Associates.

What You Will Do:
- Manage and grow customer accounts across the Tri-State area, including Long Island, Southern CT, Northern NJ, NYC and surrounding boroughs, and Westchester.
- Responsible for performance and development of a team of sales reps. Prepares action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand market reach.
- Collaborate with internal teams on product planning, inventory forecasting, and customer fulfillment.
- Contribute to category management, including pricing strategy, product mix, and merchandising initiatives.
- Support procurement and inventory management by providing market feedback and sales insights.
- Work cross-functionally to enhance product presentation, promotional execution, and overall sales performance.
- Monitor regional trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics relevant to seafood sales.
- Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
Who You Are:
- At least 6 years of experience of seafood-related sales within the food industry required.
- Extensive experience in all aspects of Relationship Management.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- Willingness to travel and work in a team of professionals.
- Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams.
- Strong understanding of retail and foodservice channels in the New York market.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
