Manufacturing Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled
Manufacturing Engineer
specializing in
Medium Voltage rubber injection Molding Systems
to work at their manufacturing facility in Irvington, NJ. This person will be the primary engineering resource for the rubber injection molding floor and will be responsible for bringing new products into production and ensuring all existing products continue to meet quality and engineering standards.
Bilingual Spanish required.

Salary starting at $85,000/year, commensurate with experience

Monday-Friday, 10p-7a

Responsibilities

• · Support Production Manager; interface with production manager regularly.
• · Coordinate process testing as needed (DSC, Dimensional Analysis)
• · Design/implement production fixtures to assist production floor employees
• Night shift lead for production troubleshooting
• ·Responsible for ensuring standard operating procedures for the rubber injection molding floor are followed
• Primary engineering resource for molding floor work instruction training on night shift.
• Analyze production processes and suggest/implement process improvements
• Review/analyze daily production scrap reports in molding and electrical test to determine/resolve root cause of issue.
• Ensure the product continues to meet design parameters and functional requirements throughout production (vendor or process changes) outlined by the ISO paperwork
• Conduct other required functional testing when necessary and record results per ISO paperwork

Skills

• Hands-on knowledge of rubber injection molding processes greatly preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish required
• Bachelor's degree in
  Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering
• 4 years experience working in a manufacturing facility
• Strong background in industrial engineering principles such as lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and process optimization.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis for industrial equipment troubleshooting.
