Sanitation Collectors/Helpers

We are seeking dependable and hardworking individuals to join our team as Sanitation Collectors/Helpers. This role involves manually and mechanically collecting garbage, recycling, and bulk items from residential and commercial locations and loading materials into collection trucks for transport.

This is a physically demanding, outdoor position that requires stamina, teamwork, and a strong commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manually lift, drag, and empty trash bins, bags, and bulk items into collection trucks

• Operate hydraulic arms or levers on automated and semi-automated dumpsters

• Assist driver with backing and navigating routes safely

• Monitor surroundings for safety hazards

• Pick up dropped debris to maintain clean streets and job sites

• Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective equipment

• Report issues or concerns to dispatch as needed

Physical & Environmental Requirements:

• Frequently lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds

• Continuous standing, walking, bending, stooping, and kneeling

• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow

• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Strong physical stamina and endurance

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
