Human Resources Generalist - Bilingual

Action Personnel is hiring a Human Resources Generalist!

Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys working closely with employees and leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are seeking a hands-on, bilingual HR Generalist to support recruiting, employee relations, benefits, compliance, and workforce development.

The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, knowledgeable in employment laws, and comfortable supporting a diverse, high-volume hourly workforce. Experience with ADP Workforce Now and a manufacturing environment is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Employee Relations: Serve as a resource for employee questions and concerns, conduct workplace investigations, and coach supervisors on policies and employee relations matters.

• Recruiting & Onboarding: Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly positions, conduct interviews and pre-employment screenings, and coordinate new hire orientation.

• HR Administration: Process new hires, terminations, transfers, and employee status changes in ADP. Maintain accurate personnel files and HR documentation.

• Benefits & Leave Administration: Assist with benefits enrollment, open enrollment, employee benefit questions, FMLA, ADA accommodations, and workers' compensation claims.

• Compliance & Policies: Maintain I-9 documentation, support employment law compliance, assist with audits and reporting, and help enforce company policies and procedures.

• Training & Development: Coordinate required compliance, safety, and employee development training. Maintain training records and assist with performance review processes.

• Manufacturing Workforce Support: Partner with production leadership on staffing needs, attendance concerns, workforce planning, and employee issues across multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of Human Resources experience.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

• Experience with ADP Workforce Now required.

• Manufacturing, production, or distribution HR experience strongly preferred.

• Experience supporting a large hourly workforce preferred.

• Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR practices, and employee relations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.

SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on HR role that requires regular interaction with employees and leadership throughout a manufacturing facility. Candidates must be comfortable walking the production floor, working in an environment with noise and varying temperatures, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. Flexibility to support employees across multiple shifts, including occasional off-shift interactions, is required.

Adherence to food manufacturing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) is also required.
