Duties
- Operate pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment such as forklifts and cranes to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
- Assist with order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Load and unload shipments ensuring proper handling of materials while adhering to safety protocols outlined by OSHA standards
- Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying shipments against documentation and preparing items for dispatch
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely, utilizing mechanical knowledge of equipment to prevent damage or injury
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse workspace to promote safety and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors on inventory control, stock replenishment, and process improvements
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, or materials handling within a fast-paced environment
- Valid certification for forklift operation, crane use, or clamp truck handling preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation including pallet jacks, forklifts, cranes, and other warehouse machinery
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for heavy equipment operation
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and order picking technology such as
pickers - Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during load & unload tasks
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving processes within a warehouse or construction setting is highly desirable
