We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Logistics Coordinator to oversee and streamline our transportation and supply chain operations. In this role, you will coordinate the movement of goods via delivery vans, straight trucks, and tractor-trailers, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety and compliance standards. Your expertise in route planning, vehicle maintenance, load securement, and maritime crew communication will be essential to optimize logistics efficiency. Responsibilities
- Plan and optimize delivery routes considering traffic conditions, port regulations, and delivery deadlines to maximize efficiency.
- Coordinate with drivers and maritime crew members to ensure smooth communication during freight loading, unloading, and vessel maintenance activities.
- Manage driver schedules and address driver shortage issues by recruiting or reallocating resources as needed.
- Ensure compliance with Port State Control regulations and maritime safety standards during vessel operations and crew handling.
- Monitor traffic conditions affecting logistics operations and implement route adjustments proactively.
Requirements
- Fluency in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for effective communication across diverse teams.
- Proven experience in logistics coordination involving delivery vans, straight trucks, tractor-trailers, or maritime vessels.
- Knowledge of route optimization techniques and traffic condition analysis for efficient scheduling.
- Familiarity with port regulations such as Port State Control standards and vessel maintenance procedures.
- Strong understanding of load securement practices for various types of freight including cargo on ships or trucks.
- Ability to conduct vehicle inspections thoroughly and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance documentation.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
