Join a dynamic and rapidly growing team as a Validation Engineer, where you will be at the forefront of designing, executing, and refining validation strategies for state-of-the-art electro-mechanical systems and high-voltage battery assemblies. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment, contributing significantly to the development of next-generation energy storage systems.
Responsibilities- Develop comprehensive test procedures for system-level, subsystem-level, and component-level validation, covering functional, performance, safety, and reliability requirements.
- Design and execute validation plans for complex assemblies integrating mechanical structures, embedded electronics, firmware, and high-voltage battery systems.
- Lead hands-on testing activities, including setup of test equipment, instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and environmental test configurations.
- Troubleshoot test setups, hardware issues, and unexpected system behaviors independently, using engineering judgment to identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to acquire test articles, fixtures, and support equipment necessary for validation activities.
- Analyze test data, generate engineering reports, and provide clear recommendations to design, manufacturing, and leadership teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to refine product requirements, improve testability, and ensure validation coverage aligns with product architecture.
- Support the development of internal validation infrastructure, including test stations, procedures, documentation standards, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with high-voltage safety protocols, test lab procedures, and industry standards relevant to battery systems and power electronics.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of validation processes as the company scales its in-house testing capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with environmental testing, including thermal cycling, vibration, and humidity.
- Deep experience in test procedure development, including writing, executing, and refining engineering test plans.
- Hands-on experience testing complex systems with multiple assemblies.
- Experience working with high-voltage battery systems, including safe handling, instrumentation, and performance testing.
- Ability to work independently, acquiring test articles, setting up equipment, and performing ad-hoc troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret engineering data, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly.
- Familiarity with data acquisition tools, instrumentation, and test automation platforms.
- Experience with validation of energy storage systems, power electronics, or electro-mechanical products.
- Knowledge of battery test standards such as UL, IEC, and UN38.3.
- Experience in building or scaling a test lab.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr.
