Superintendent – Large-Scale Data Center Construction
Location: Upper Midwest (Remote Sites)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Project Overview
This multi-phase data center development includes several buildings, each approximately 1 million square feet, supporting 150 MW of capacity per phase. The total site potential exceeds 1 GW, with guaranteed work spanning 2–2.5 years, and possible extension to 5–7 years. Construction includes:
- Deep foundations (pipe pile and pile caps)
- Precast insulated wall panels and double-T roof systems
- Site work, including roads, ponds, and underground utilities
- Winter construction strategies, including temp walls and heat systems
- Coordination with multiple subcontractors and excavation teams
Role Overview
Lead field operations on a fast-paced, evolving data center project. You’ll manage daily site activities, coordinate with trades, and ensure safety and schedule adherence in a high-performance environment.
Responsibilities
- Direct site operations and subcontractor activities
- Manage precast erection, deep foundations, and site utilities
- Adapt to changing scopes and fluid work plans
- Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards
- Communicate proactively with project teams
Qualifications
- 5 years of construction experience, preferably with large-scale industrial or data center projects
- Strong leadership and coordination skills
- Experience with precast systems, deep foundations, and winter logistics
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore)
- Willingness to work a 6-day schedule and travel between remote sites
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
