Power the future of clean energy infrastructure

About the Role We’re looking for an experienced Transmission Line Principal Engineer to lead the design of high‑voltage transmission projects that connect wind, solar, and battery energy storage to the grid. In this role, you’ll own transmission line design from early concept through construction and commissioning, playing a critical role in delivering reliable, sustainable energy across North America. This is a highly visible leadership position within our Engineering & Construction (E&C) team, ideal for someone who enjoys combining deep technical expertise with project and stakeholder management.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage transmission line design from early planning through execution and energization
  • Partner with Early Stage Project Managers to define scope, requirements, and technical solutions
  • Select and manage engineering consultants, surveyors, geotechnical firms, and construction partners
  • Coordinate routing, permitting, and land requirements with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Support cost estimating efforts by defining clear design assumptions and scope inputs
  • Oversee engineering deliverables for proposals, detailed design, and construction support
  • Represent the E&C organization in project meetings, executive updates, and risk‑mitigation discussions
  • Ensure technical quality, schedule alignment, and constructability across all project phases

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering
  • 7 years of experience designing and delivering high‑voltage transmission line projects
  • Strong understanding of transmission line design, drawings, and industry standards
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, consultants, and contractors
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to review and interpret one‑line diagrams, plan & profiles, and general arrangements
  • Willingness to travel within North America

Nice to Have

  • Project Engineering or Project Management experience
  • PMP and/or Professional Engineer (PE) certification
  • Experience with tools such as PLSCADD, AutoCAD, Primavera, and Microsoft Office

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Make a direct impact on large‑scale renewable energy projects
  • Take ownership of complex, high‑visibility infrastructure initiatives
  • Collaborate with top engineering, construction, and energy professionals
  • Grow your career at the intersection of technical leadership and clean energy innovation
