Overview:
We are currently seeking a Training Specialist to support our client in Newport News, VA. There are currently 4 openings available. Additional titles such as Instructional Designer, Learning and Development Specialist, Training Manager, and Learning Manager align with this type of opportunity.
Description:
- Designs and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel.
- Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
- Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques.
- Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments.
- May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs.
- May be responsible for development of e-learning programs.
Qualifications:
- BS Degree.
- 6 years of relevant experience.
- Experience teaching in both face to face and online environments.
- Familiarity with instructional and course management technology as well as course design.
Additional Information:
- 4 openings available.
- Long term, multi year contracts.
- 1st shift, Monday-Friday.
- Pay Rate: $30-$44/hr based on experience.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $44.00/hr.
