Test Technician

Join a dynamic Research & Development team where you will conduct a variety of testing for doors and windows. Work independently under the guidance of engineers to support project work, using your skills and expertise in testing units and materials.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for testing using saws and other shop equipment.
• Follow established or develop new procedures to test materials.
• Record and organize test results for engineers to review.
• Collaborate effectively as a team member and manage multiple priorities.
• Communicate progress on assigned work to meet required timelines.
• Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
• Adhere to safety and environmental procedures.

• 2 years of experience working with various tools such as Table Saw, Skill Saw, Screw Guns, and Circular Saw.
• 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office, including Basic Word, Basic Excel, and Basic Outlook.

• A 2-year degree in a technology-related program is preferred.
• Knowledge of door and window products.
• Ability to analyze data from test results and assist with written documentation.
• Experience in carpentry, framing, saw cutting, and using hand and power tools.

The position is based in an R&D Lab where you will work alongside other technicians and engineers. The role operates during the 2nd shift, from 2 PM to 10 PM, Monday through Friday, with training provided on a mid-shift schedule, typically 10 AM to 7 PM. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St Paul, MN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
