Job Title: Test Technician (Aerospace)
Job Summary
We are looking for a Test Technician to perform inspection and non‑destructive testing on aerospace mechanical components. This role focuses on penetrant testing, evaluating inspection results, and ensuring parts meet aerospace, military, and customer requirements. You will work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform penetrant and related inspection tests per company, customer, and industry standards
- Set up inspection methods, conduct tests, and interpret results
- Accept or reject parts based on inspection findings
- Review supplier inspection and test documentation
- Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure test equipment is calibrated
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and aerospace/military specifications
- Communicate inspection results clearly with internal teams
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–4 years of experience performing penetrant or similar inspection/testing
- Knowledge of ASNT SNT‑TC‑1A and/or MIL‑STD‑410
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical or vocational training
- Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing
- Familiarity with calibration systems and inspection reporting
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environments
- Comfortable working with inspection equipment and chemicals
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Simi Valley, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
