What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surveyor position at Actalent?
As a Surveyor, you will perform essential survey field work, including topographic, boundary, and construction staking. You will also develop proposals and estimates for clients, operate GPS, robotic total stations, and other survey equipment, manage the survey department, and coordinate with municipalities, counties, and the state.
Responsibilities- Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction staking survey field work.
- Develop accurate proposals and estimates for clients.
- Operate GPS, robotic total station, and other survey equipment efficiently.
- Manage and lead the survey department.
- Coordinate and ensure compliance with municipalities, counties, and state regulations.
- Proficiency in land surveying, topography, and topographic surveys.
- Experience with total station and GPS technology.
- Knowledge of Civil 3D or Carlson software.
- Minimum of 5 years of surveying experience.
- Ability to manage and lead a survey crew.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification is preferred.
- Experience with Trimble GPS and Topcon technology.
The work environment is multidisciplinary, providing an interactive and engaging workspace with a flat leadership structure that facilitates communication with company leadership. The position is stable within the market with opportunities for growth. The role requires working Monday to Friday in the office, with occasional site visits.
