Job Title: Field Technician
Job Description
Join a dynamic team dedicated to supporting construction pipeline projects. As a Surveyor, you will utilize a handheld GPS meter for surveys and engage in construction stakeouts. The role involves locating the edges of roads, driveways, and utilities over project sites ranging from 100 feet to 4 miles long. You will meet with operations staff in the field to discuss project details, conduct soil erosion assessments, and perform weekly inspections.
Responsibilities
- Conduct surveys using handheld GPS meters.
- Locate edges of roads, driveways, and utilities on construction sites.
- Perform construction stakeouts.
- Collaborate with operations staff in the field to discuss project specifics.
- Conduct soil erosion assessments and weekly inspections.
Essential Skills
- Experience in surveying and topographic surveys.
- Familiarity with GPS equipment.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to perform fieldwork.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD.
- Experience in drafting and design is a plus.
Work Environment
This position primarily involves fieldwork with minimal office duties. Field sites may be up to two hours away, with the possibility of overnight stays. Interaction with clients on-site is expected, requiring professionalism and effective communication.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Williamsport, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $40.00/hr.
