Job Description
This role supports surveying and mapping projects through a combination of technical drafting, data processing, property research, and field survey support. The position plays a critical role in delivering accurate, high-quality survey deliverables while meeting project schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate survey maps, plats, exhibits, and drawings.
- Process and reduce field survey data from GPS and data collectors.
- Download, upload, and manage field data using survey and CAD software.
- Perform survey computations and assist with boundary analysis.
- Coordinate with survey crews and project teams to resolve data issues.
- Assist with field survey activities as needed, including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, utility, and construction staking surveys.
- Conduct online and courthouse property research.
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness of deliverables while meeting schedules and budgets.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Civil 3D.
- Knowledge of topography and surveying.
- Experience with ALTA surveys and boundary surveys.
- Familiarity with Trimble and Trimble Business Center.
- 3 years experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, survey computations, GPS data processing, and boundary/topographic surveys.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- AutoCAD Civil training or certificate.
- LSIT preferred.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, process-driven, and quality-focused.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.
- Successful completion of employment check and drug screening.
Work Environment
The role is based in a small office setting for five days a week, with a standard 40-hour work week and potential overtime. The position requires attention to detail and offers opportunities for field survey activities.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Prairie, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
