Job Title: Survey Drafter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Survey Drafter to support the design and documentation of land development and public works projects. This is a desk‑based role with no fieldwork required. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CAD/Civil 3D and comfortable producing detailed survey drawings for a wide range of project types, including municipal infrastructure, bridges, building sites, roadways, streetscapes, and residential and commercial developments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain survey records, maps, and reports
• Analyze survey data and produce detailed drawings using CAD software
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure accurate survey deliverables
• Provide support and guidance to field crews as needed
• Ensure all drawings meet project specifications and industry standards

Essential Skills

• Experience as a CAD Technician with a focus on survey drafting
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Understanding of land surveying principles and survey software

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with MicroStation
• Experience with OpenRoads
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Join a close‑knit team of approximately 40 professionals in a supportive, family‑oriented environment that values employee growth and work‑life balance. The standard schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rocky Hill, CT.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
