Pre Construction Manager - Industrial WWW

This role oversees and directs wastewater construction projects from initial concept through successful completion. The Project Manager reviews plans and specifications, estimates costs, manages schedules, and coordinates all activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. The position focuses heavily on project management and estimation work for wastewater projects, combining office-based planning with close collaboration across project stakeholders and subcontractors.

• Lead and direct wastewater construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring all phases align with project goals and standards.
• Review specifications and construction drawings to determine equipment, material, and staffing requirements for each phase of construction.
• Confer and coordinate with supervisory personnel and subcontractors to plan and execute work procedures that prevent delays and ensure full compliance with project specifications and drawings.
• Conduct in-depth project reviews to develop detailed schedules for deliverables and to estimate project costs accurately.
• Select and order tools, materials, and equipment, ensuring delivery at specified times to conform to established work schedules, and track inventory throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all contractual conditions of performance are met and identify, document, and manage change order work as it arises.
• Monitor work progress on a daily basis, proactively identifying issues and adjusting plans to keep the project on track.
• Prepare clear and timely internal and external reports pertaining to job status, including progress updates, risks, and mitigation actions.
• Plan ahead to prevent problems, anticipate potential obstacles, and resolve emerging issues quickly and effectively.
• Provide general personnel management related to the project, including coordination of teams and support of a productive work environment.
• Negotiate terms of agreements with relevant parties, draft contracts, and obtain necessary permits and licenses for project execution.
• Liaise regularly with the project owner and engineer to maintain a positive working relationship and ensure alignment on project objectives and expectations.
• Develop and refine construction techniques that reduce costs and improve overall project quality and efficiency.
• Analyze, manage, and mitigate project risks while maintaining high-quality construction standards and proper construction techniques.
• Utilize surveying equipment as needed to support accurate layout, measurement, and quality control during construction.
• Create, maintain, and manage comprehensive project schedules, adjusting timelines as necessary to reflect project realities and constraints.

• Proven project management skills with the ability to oversee construction projects from concept through completion.
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and work from construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience with estimation, including determining materials, equipment, staffing needs, and overall project costs.
• Knowledge of form work and carpentry practices relevant to construction projects.
• Background or familiarity with wastewater projects and related construction processes.
• Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with supervisory personnel, subcontractors, project owners, and engineers.
• Skill in developing and managing detailed project schedules and tracking progress against milestones.
• Capability to identify and manage change orders and ensure adherence to contractual performance conditions.
• Competence in negotiating terms of agreements and drafting contracts.
• Experience preparing clear, concise internal and external project status reports.
• Ability to analyze construction methods, manage risks, and maintain high-quality standards.
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment to support accurate construction layout and quality control.

The role is primarily office-based, focusing on project management and estimation work for wastewater construction projects. The Project Manager will work in a professional office setting, using standard office technology, project management tools, and documentation systems to plan, schedule, and oversee project activities. Collaboration with engineers, owners, and subcontractors will occur through meetings, calls, and digital communication, with occasional coordination related to field activities and surveying. This is a Permanent position based out of FARGO, ND.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
