Survey CAD Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Develop complete and accurate Topographic, Boundary, and ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys from field notes, raw data, and field crew inputs.
• Utilize AutoCAD by Autodesk and Civil 3D (version 2015 or later) to draft, edit, and finalize survey drawings to company and industry standards.
• Prepare clear, legally sound metes and bounds descriptions and other supporting documentation for plats, deeds, and property conveyances.
• Conduct thorough property, deed, map, and record research to support survey preparation and resolve boundary or title discrepancies.
• Generate cut sheets, coordinate files, and stakeout information to ensure accurate field layout for proposed projects.
• Collaborate with field crews to interpret design requirements, provide necessary layout details, and verify accuracy of returned field data.
• Maintain drawing organization, layering standards, and quality control throughout all project deliverables.
• Assist with data management, including importing field data, validating coordinate geometry, and troubleshooting discrepancies.

Requirements

• Proven proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D with the ability to produce professional, well‑structured survey drawings.
• Demonstrated experience preparing Topographic, Boundary, and ALTA surveys.
• Strong understanding of land surveying fundamentals, coordinate geometry, and drafting principles.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, deeds, legal descriptions, and municipal records.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Trenton, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $40.87/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Trenton,NJ.
