What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey CAD Technician position at Actalent?
DESCRIPTION
The Survey Technician will be a key member of a award winning Survey team that provides the latest surveying technology to get work done fast and ensure extreme accuracy. The Survey CAD Technician's scope of work will include the following:
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primarily working on new construction for large parcels of land
- Assist field coordinator in preparing work for crews.
- Collaborate with team members to support the the survey team
- Process field data for production of plats and plans
- Prepare cutsheets supporting construction stakeout
- Perform deed, plat, and record drawing research
- Prepare boundary composite maps and property descriptions
- Process 3-D point cloud to create surfaces and contour maps
- Support and maintain Company CAD drafting standards
- Prepare existing condition plans and exhibits
- Prepare and format ALTA survey documents
- Prepare easement plats and descriptions
- Prepare As-Built drawings
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 years of experience as a Survey CAD Technician
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Carlson Survey software
- Experience with surveying and land development projects
- Experience with deed research
- Detail oriented, focused on accuracy and completeness
