Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Survey CAD Technician to produce high-quality ALTA surveys, plats, easements, topographic surveys, and legal descriptions. The ideal candidate will transform raw field data into clean, accurate Civil 3D deliverables with minimal oversight. You will lead point cloud registration efforts and support LiDAR and drone data processing, while preparing clear, client-ready exhibits for engineering and development teams.
Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality ALTA surveys, plats, easements, topographic surveys, and legal descriptions.
- Convert raw field data into clean and accurate Civil 3D deliverables with minimal oversight.
- Lead point cloud registration efforts and support LiDAR and drone data processing.
- Prepare clear, client-ready exhibits for engineering and development teams.
- Collaborate closely with surveyors and project managers to maintain momentum and meet deadlines.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and Trimble Business.
- Experience with point clouds, LiDAR, and/or photogrammetry (Pix4D or similar).
- Deep understanding of survey workflows, boundary principles, and coordinate systems.
- Ability to work efficiently, catch issues early, and deliver reliable results.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 2 years of experience producing ALTA surveys, plats, easements, topographic surveys, and legal descriptions within Civil 3D for commercial, residential, and industrial clients.
- Strong command of land surveying and design.
Work Environment
The role requires working in the office at least 4 days a week to support the survey and civil engineering team with processing survey data. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
