Supply Chain Analyst

Overview:

We are currently hiring for a Material or Supply Chain Analyst to join our Supply Chain and Procurement team to support day-to-day operations focused on, but not limited to, the following:

• Create and maintain supplier relations.
• Coordinate purchasing transactions.
• Material cost-reduction efforts.

Description:

• Support, maintain, and improve purchased commodities and services strategy in accordance with annual and long-term goals and objectives.
• Support business financial performance.
• Evaluate and/or develop policies and procedures for the continuous improvement of procurement activities.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure OTD and Quality performance meet expectations.

Qualifications:

• US Citizenship.
• BS Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
• 2 years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, and logistics.
• Planning, negotiation, and execution skills essential, as are project management and strategic sourcing experience/skills.
• Demonstrated success in driving cost reductions and superior customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and develop effective working relationships.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
• Self-starter, highly motivated, action-oriented, proactive, collaborative, and results-driven.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience in Defense industry procurement is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Government contracting practices, including hands-on experience with FAR/DFARS, contract negotiations, and related laws and regulations.
• Lean and/or Six-Sigma experience and knowledge is preferred.

Additional Information:

• 3-4 month contract.
• Pay Rate: $30-$33/hr.
• 1st shift, Monday-Friday.
• Client is eager to hire.

This is a Contract position based out of Chesapeake, VA.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Chesapeake,VA.
