What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supplier Quality Technician position at Actalent?
As a Supplier Quality Technician, you will support the quality department by organizing, coordinating, and executing building and testing of equipment according to written or standard operating procedures. You will also undertake laboratory analysis and monitor microbial cultures and samples. Your role involves investigating the growth and structure development of microscopic organisms like bacteria, algae, and fungi, and supervising microbiological research activities.
Responsibilities- Support the quality team with building qualifications and author reports to document and communicate results.
- Conduct laboratory analysis on microbial cultures and samples, and investigate the growth and characteristics of microorganisms.
- Supervise and conduct research on microbiological activities, maintaining knowledge on research methods and performing manual operations on supplies, surfaces, and materials.
- Develop and maintain validation protocols for environmental controls, and perform tests on materials after sterilization.
- Identify contamination in component samples, conduct analysis, and initiate corrective measures.
- Study microorganism cultures in isolation, ensuring control over moisture and temperature, and monitor physiological and morphological characteristics.
- Perform audits on environmental programs, develop testing processes for raw materials and equipment, and investigate GMP issues.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and develop microbiology processes, preparing final reports and maintaining inventory.
- Review product batch records, communicate issues with supervisors, and prepare paperwork for shipping.
- Contribute to the implementation of new quality management system requirements and compliance.
- Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, reviewing publications, and networking.
- Contribute to team efforts and take on additional responsibilities as directed by management.
- QC Technician experience
- Quality control and document control expertise
- Knowledge of FDA, Tissue Processing, and Cleanroom standards
- Proficiency in Aseptic Technique and Environmental Monitoring
- Experience in FDA Manufacturing, Microbiology, and GMP
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of GMP experience in an aseptic environment (medical device/pharmaceutical)
- Preferred quality control experience in ISO medical device manufacturing
The position is set in a biomedical manufacturing environment, primarily working in clean room laboratories and office settings.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
