Job Description
The primary purpose of this role is to conduct quality-related activities to ensure consistent high-quality documents, services, products, and processes. The role supports supplier quality activities for injection-molded plastic parts used in the manufacturing of reagent kits.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system.
- Define project goals and milestones and ensure timely project completion.
- Provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems, ensuring compliance and innovation.
- May lead projects with cross-functional or broader scope and represent own team on cross-functional project teams.
- Communicate confidently and effectively with management, peers, and key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance to site-level policies and procedures and address noncompliance issues promptly.
- Evaluate product safety and efficacy, create and review risk management documentation.
- Investigate complex complaints with minimal management oversight and provide practical solutions.
- Formulate thorough reasons and justifications for design control and documentation change control.
- Lead complex quality discussions across various departments and external suppliers.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for at least one Validation Subsystem and ensure compliant documentation.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Life Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in quality or a related field, with preference for experience in the healthcare industry.
- Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry is desirable.
- Engineering Degree (Biomedical Engineering preferred or related).
- Nonconformance investigation experience.
- Validation experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot quality issues.
- Experience in change control and working with cross-functional teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Supplier quality, quality assurance, and quality engineering experience.
- ISO certification.
- Experience with injection molding.
- Experience in medical devices.
Work Environment
The work environment involves working with cross-functional teams and requires effective communication with management and peers. The role demands a solid understanding of quality system elements from product inception through launch. The successful candidate will work with minimal oversight and will have the discretion to make independent decisions within defined parameters. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
