Substation Design Engineer
Job Description
We are currently seeking a Substation Design Engineer based in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will provide project oversight and maintain communication with clients, ensuring successful project delivery. This role requires an understanding of forecasting and project budgeting, and the ability to work effectively within teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide project oversight and maintain communication with clients.
- Ensure successful project delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
- Understand and manage forecasting and project budgeting.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve project goals.
Skills & Qualifications
- 2-7 years of experience in the Power & Utilities industry.
- 2-7 years of substation engineering experience.
- 2-7 years of Protection & Control (P&C) or Physical experience.
- Proficiency in substation design and electrical engineering.
- Experience with AutoCAD, MCC, Switchgear, and SCADA.
- Experience in power delivery, power generation, and motor control.
- Knowledge of relay, physical design, protection & control, and electrical design.
Work Environment
- The position will start remotely and transition to a hybrid schedule within 1-2 months as the office is established.
- Once the office is operational, the expectation will be to work in the office three days a week.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
