Job Description
The Sub-Investigator supports the Principal Investigator (PI) in the conduct of clinical research studies. This role involves performing delegated clinical trial activities in accordance with the study protocol, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and applicable regulatory requirements, ensuring subject safety and data integrity.
Responsibilities
- Support the Principal Investigator with the medical and clinical oversight of assigned clinical trials.
- Perform study-related clinical assessments and procedures as delegated by the PI, such as physical exams, safety evaluations, and review of labs and diagnostics.
- Ensure adherence to study protocols, GCP, ICH guidelines, FDA regulations, and site standard operating procedures.
- Assess subject eligibility and participate in recruitment and enrollment activities.
- Monitor subject safety and identify, document, and report adverse events and serious adverse events per protocol requirements.
- Ensure accurate, thorough, and timely documentation of study-related procedures and source data.
- Review and verify clinical data for accuracy and completeness.
- Participate in investigator meetings, study trainings, and sponsor or monitor visits as required.
- Maintain current licensure, curriculum vitae, and required research training.
- Clinical research expertise.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of clinical research regulations, ethics, and patient safety standards.
- Active clinical license (e.g., MD, DO, NP, PA) in good standing.
- Ability to perform delegated duties under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.
