About the Role

We’re looking for a talented Structural Designer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of fieldwork and technical design, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is eager to contribute to a wide range of structural engineering projects. You’ll conduct site walkthroughs, perform structural analysis, prepare detailed drawings, and support construction-phase activities while maintaining strong communication with clients and project partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site walkthroughs and field assessments to document existing conditions.
• Perform structural analysis and design for custom single‑family homes, structural repairs, renovations, new construction, and specialty engineering for steel fabricators.
• Produce detailed structural drawings and documentation using AutoCAD.
• Conduct inspections and phase observations during construction to verify compliance with design intent.
• Collaborate closely with clients, colleagues, and contractors to support successful project delivery.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
• 1–4 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Strong understanding of structural systems including steel, cold‑formed steel, engineered and commodity lumber, masonry, aluminum, concrete foundations, and retaining walls.
• Experience performing structural analysis and conducting pre‑ and post‑construction site visits.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• EIT certification.
• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
• Experience with structural software such as RISA 3D or RAM.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

This is a Permanent position based out of Brookfield, CT.

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Brookfield,CT.
