Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Structural Design Engineer to analyze the structural integrity of components and systems, ensuring they can withstand intended loads and environmental conditions. The role involves using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to analyze composite structures, complete calculations, and utilize Excel for data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Analyze the structural integrity of components and systems.
- Perform stress analysis using NX Nastran, ANSYS, and NX CAD.
- Conduct structural analysis on aerospace, launch vehicles, spacecraft, aircraft, helicopters, and rockets.
- Perform composite structure analysis and complete relevant calculations.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure designs meet specified requirements.
Essential Skills
- 8-10 years of experience as a stress analysis engineer.
- Proficiency in aerospace engineering with expertise in NX Nastran, ANSYS, and NX CAD.
- Strong experience in composite structures and stress analysis.
- Comfortable analyzing structural systems of launch vehicles, spacecraft, aircraft, helicopters, and rockets.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Nastran FEMAP or ANSYS is highly valued.
- Ability to have an immediate impact on ongoing projects.
- Mechanical engineering experience is preferred.
Work Environment
For contract positions, remote work is possible, with an initial two-week period at the Austin office to meet the team and ensure technology integration. Contract-to-hire roles require onsite presence within the first 1-2 months. Computer and equipment will be provided, and most of the team is based onsite in Austin. The work environment is dynamic, with exciting projects in a rapidly growing company.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $85.00/hr.
