Project / Design Engineer - Facade & Structural Engineering

What you’ll do

• Take curtain wall, storefront and window wall assignments from receipt of documents through a complete calculation package, following our proven process with limited day-to-day supervision.
• Perform ASCE 7 wind and seismic loading, aluminum framing (ADM), deflection and anchorage checks.
• Use RISA 3D, Hilti PROFIS and Excel-based calc tools, and help us improve our templates and automation.
• Plan, schedule and budget your own projects, and deliver on time and within budget.
• Communicate clearly and proactively with clients and teammates.
• Escalate unusual conditions early to senior engineers with a clear question and a proposed approach.
• As you grow, review and teach junior engineers and document best practices.

What we’re looking for

• BS in civil, structural, mechanical or engineering
• 2–7 years of experience in facade, curtain wall, glazing or structural engineering
• Strong calculation skills and comfort with the tools above
• A clear communicator who owns outcomes and meets deadlines
• PE license, or on the path to one (we support the process)
