About the Role
Ready to take your structural design career to the next level? We’re looking for a motivated Structural Designer to join our expanding team in Brookfield, CT. In this position, you’ll work on everything from custom homes and renovations to specialty steel projects. You’ll conduct site visits, perform structural analysis, create detailed drawings, and follow projects through the construction phase—giving you the rare opportunity to see your work from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform site walkthroughs and field assessments to document existing conditions
- Complete structural analysis and design for:
- Custom single‑family homes
- Renovations and repairs
- New construction
- Specialty engineering for steel fabricators
- Prepare accurate structural drawings and documentation using AutoCAD
- Conduct construction‑phase inspections to ensure compliance with design intent
- Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and internal team members to support smooth project delivery
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis preferred)
- 1–4 years of experience in structural engineering
- Strong understanding of structural materials and systems: steel, cold‑formed steel, engineered wood, masonry, aluminum, concrete foundations, retaining walls
- Experience with structural analysis and pre-/post‑construction site visits
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills
- EIT certification
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering
- Experience with structural software such as RISA‑3D or RAM
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
