Sr Project Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sr Project Manager to oversee and execute medium to advanced-level projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and economic accomplishment of assigned objectives. The ideal candidate will develop, review, and coordinate comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and staff activities, while also assisting in the development of scoping documents and cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Perform medium to advanced-level project management work activities and projects requiring the application of project management knowledge.
• Develop, review, and coordinate the project plan, schedule, budget, activities, materials, equipment, tools, and staff.
• Assist in developing and scoping documents, deliverables, and cost estimates.
• Assist in data gathering and analysis for reporting on project progress, scheduled deliverables, and budget.
• Identify, clarify, and make recommendations for solutions to project plan deviations and work-related problems with minimal impact and risk through analysis of reports and records.
• Hold contractors accountable to the system safety process.
• Provide recommendations as an active participant of a project management team; communicate and coordinate with customers and interconnected companies on issues.
• Support project management team members by providing guidance and training, as assigned, and review the work of other team members.
• Utilize technical interfaces of project management and provide technical support to the team.

Essential Skills

• Project management expertise.
• Must have experience within the Utility industry
• Knowledge of engineering and transmission.
• Proficiency in project tracking and distribution.
• Strong scheduling skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• Experience in project management with capital projects.
• Experience interfacing with engineering procurement and construction personnel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Charleston, WV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $75.00/hr.
