Job Description
We are seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to lead project-level activities in the ideation, development, design, implementation, testing, and transfer to manufacturing of medical devices. This role requires a dynamic individual with a solid background in product development and mechanical design.
Responsibilities
- Lead product design development processes.
- Complete key Design History File (DHF) document deliverables.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing facilities to design for manufacturability.
- Research and analyze experimental data to understand design issues and provide resolutions.
- Create test protocols and reports for verification testing.
- Utilize CAD/SolidWorks for design tasks.
- Proficiency in new product development and mechanical design.
- Experience in prototyping and validation processes.
- Strong knowledge of CAD/SolidWorks.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in product development.
- Over 5 years of industry experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the medical device field.
- Experience with IEC standards.
- Familiarity with ISO standards.
The position is based in Maple Grove and requires onsite presence as needed. The work environment focuses on collaborative teamwork, utilizing advanced technologies for product development in the medical device industry.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maple Grove, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $70.00/hr.
