Description
This position is responsible for providing support to all injection molding operations, reducing scrap and set-up times, optimizing cycle times, and performing validations related to materials, presses, and molds as necessary, with a sharp focus on continuous improvement..
• BS Degree or equivalent training in plastics/injection molding.
• Typically requires 10- 15 years’ experience of process development (IQ, OQ PQ), Tooling, and Scientific Molding. Design for Experiments (DOE’s)
• Experience in Injection Molding. Attention to detail in relation to manufacturing and injection molding processes. RJG / E-Dart experience preferred.
• Must have excellent knowledge of injection molding presses (hydraulic and electric), molds, mold design and other related processing equipment. Must have experience working with common molding grade plastics such as Polypropylene, Polycarbonate, ABS, Nylon etc
Coordinates maintenance and drive technical activities for cGMP compliant manufacturing improvement. Experience in Class 7 or 8 Cleanrooms preferred.
• Create and manage process documentation such as work instructions and set-up instructions. Prepares technical writing
• Data analysis / statistics with excel, Minitab, or similar platform preferred.
• May be involved in development and update of PFMEA for new products
• Confers with production group concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
• Coordinates with customers to identify product specifications and design changes and responds to customer request.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Long Grove, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
