Job Description
The Mechanical Engineer will design and develop communication devices and accessories, analyzing mechanical samples, creating 2D/3D CAD drawings, and assisting with data collection and root cause analysis. This role supports manufacturing and mechanical engineering activities.
Responsibilities
- Design mechanical/electromechanical systems for various equipment.
- Collaborate with the hardware team for design feedback.
- Generate detailed CAD drawings and documentation.
- Understand and create mechanical Bill-of-Material structures.
- Solve assembly problems and develop fixtures.
- Proficient in design software such as Pro Engineer.
- Strong knowledge in 3D design, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Expertise in fabrication, tooling, and component selection.
- Experience with materials such as metals, plastics, silicones, and rubber.
- Solid understanding of assembly processes.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 7 years of professional design experience.
- Understanding of advanced engineering concepts and CAD modeling.
- Experience designing small component assemblies
- Experience with electro-mechanical products is highly preferred.
