Job Description

This role involves designing solutions that not only meet project deliverables but also position our products for long-term growth. You will collaborate with electrical, software, mechanical, and welding engineers, taking projects from original concept through to implementation. The ideal candidate is an aggressive self-starter with excellent communication skills, capable of problem-solving through troubleshooting techniques and systems-oriented design. You will also be responsible for testing and documenting new designs, participating in project meetings, and ensuring adherence to quality standards and project deliverables. The role involves driving projects forward with cross-functional technical direction and identifying innovative patentable solutions to meet end-market needs.

Responsibilities

• Design solutions that meet project deliverables and position products for long-term growth.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, mechanical, and welding engineers to implement projects from concept to completion.
• Utilize troubleshooting techniques, testing, and design to solve problems with a systems mindset.
• Perform testing and documentation on new designs.
• Participate in project meetings and manage assigned action items.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and project deliverables.
• Drive projects forward with cross-functional technical direction.
• Identify innovative and patentable solutions to meet market needs.

Essential Skills

• Electrical engineering expertise.
• Proficiency in hardware and electrical design.
• Professional engineering certification.
• 3 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Experience with power electronics design, particularly switch mode power supplies up to 35kW.
• Familiarity with voltages up to 480Vac, 1000Vdc, and currents up to 1000 Amps.
• Knowledge of full-bridge, half-bridge, buck, boost, flyback, and forward converters.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

This is a Permanent position based out of Appleton, WI.

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
