General Position Summary: Develop, estimate, sell and manage multiple, specialized, fast-track mechanical construction projects through effective communication, negotiation, scheduling, tracking, document control, and forecasting of costs and profitability. Expand revenue base through marketing, sales, and business development. Train, mentor, and supervise Special Projects Group’s Project Engineers. Support and collaborate with company superintendents, foreman, engineers, detailers, and management to deliver quality and profitable projects. Essential Job Functions: 1. Take leadership role and ownership of estimates, project scoping, proposals, project safety and project execution while meeting or exceeding department profitability goals. 2. Understanding of mechanical systems costing and value analysis. 3. Effective communication with engineering staff to ensure complete designs that convey clear scope and scope within project established budget. 4. Develop and maintain client relations. 5. Review job estimate of direct reports and prepare project budgets. 6. Estimate and negotiate change orders. 7. Track, forecast, report labor hours and material costs. 8. Buyout major equipment and subcontracts. 9. Expedite and track deliveries of major equipment/materials. 10. Maintain working knowledge of general conditions, work scope and specifications of project contract/subcontract. 11. Maintain and control documents in compliance with client Standards as well as contractual compliance. 12. Collaborate with field labor supervision to plan, organize and schedule project work including preparation of subcontract/contract integrated project schedule. 13. Ensure full compliance with Safety Program at the jobsite. 14. Provide proactive, clear, and timely communication to team members. 15. Be professional and uphold Core Values. 16. Regular attendance and promptness are considered part of each employee's essential job functions.
