Job Title: Mechanical Designer

Job Description

Join a dynamic team contributing to design concepts, completing general layouts, and producing detailed drawings using 2D & 3D CAD programs. This role is integral to design development and requires minimal supervisory direction. You will be responsible for creating documentation using Microsoft Office software, including BOMs, ECRs, ECNs, and Process Specifications, while operating within established documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design concepts and complete general layouts using 2D & 3D CAD programs.
• Produce drawings utilizing Solidworks.
• Create necessary documentation using Microsoft Office software products.
• Ensure adherence to established documentation standards.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal teams regarding design, drawing, or documentation issues.
• Understand project management, inner company processes, and cost to contribute effectively to the design process.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Mechanical Design.
• Extensive experience with Solidworks and Weldments.
• Familiarity with oil and gas, frac pumps, and oilfield fabrication.
• Experience with BOM and Manufacturing processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 5 years of experience using 3D design software, including Solidworks or Autodesk Inventor.
• Mechanical design experience in oilfield equipment manufacturing.
• Experience working with the bill of materials, ECN, and ECR within manufacturing.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rhome, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
