Embedded Software Engineer

We’re working on advanced technologies for manned and unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) and looking for a embedded software engineer who’s excited to tackle real-world challenges in defense applications. Job Description:

• Solve technical problems of moderate scope and complexity for current and next-generation ground vehicle technologies.
• Contribute to software development across the full product lifecycle—from concept to integration and evaluation.
• Develop software at component, subsystem, and system levels, including embedded control systems and sensor/operator interfaces.
• Collaborate with a multi-functional team on exciting technologies and products.
• Opportunities for leadership and individual contributor growth.
• Support offsite integration and testing.
• Take on other related duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with 2 years of experience (or Master’s degree).
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA)/Object-Oriented Design (OOD).
• Strong programming skills in C/C /Java.
• Basic shell scripting experience.
• Comfortable in Unix-based development environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with network/serial/CAN interfaces is a plus.
• Experience with Jira and Git/Mercurial is a bonus.

*Ability to travel up to 20%.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Hunt Valley, MD.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $90.00/hr.
