Job Title: Site/Civil Design Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a driven Site/Civil Engineer to join our team in designing the future of sustainable infrastructure. In this role, you won't just be moving dirt—you’ll be the technical engine behind large-scale renewable energy land development projects. You will work in a high-collaboration environment, taking ownership of project life cycles from initial planning through final permitting.

Core Responsibilities

• Design & Modeling: Lead the preparation of planning, design, and permitting documents for renewable energy infrastructure using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Project Leadership: Own the creation and modification of critical engineering documents, including detailed site plans, cost estimates, and technical specifications.
• Technical Writing: Author and review high-level reports, including feasibility studies, stormwater management plans (SWPPP), and utility assessments.
• Collaboration: Act as a key technical resource in project meetings, working closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure milestones are met on time and within budget.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education & Licensure: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. EIT certification is preferred, with a clear path/timeline to obtaining your PE license within 12 months.
• Experience: 4 years of professional experience in site/civil design, with a focus on:
  • Site planning and grading.
  • Stormwater management and drainage design.
  • Soil erosion and sediment control.
• Software Expertise: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is essential. Experience with Revit is a significant plus.

The ideal candidate is an Intermediate-level professional who is ready to step out of a pure "production" role and into a "design-lead" mindset. You should be comfortable managing multiple tasks, mentoring junior staff on drafting standards, and ensuring that every report produced meets the highest technical standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of New York, NY.

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $110000.00/yr.

This is a hybrid position in New York,NY.
