We are seeking a Senior Program Manager who will oversee, direct, and coordinate all activities necessary to successfully execute all approved, assigned programs. The role ensures that all programs are executed within the committed timeframe and in line with contractual requirements. This position is responsible for program management processes, coordinating multiple complex programs, and critically assessing process and policy improvements.
Responsibilities- Conduct Program/Financial reviews and monitor/control activities and costs on major programs.
- Conduct program status reviews for upper management, reporting both contractual and financial status.
- Manage programs through all phases, including proposal preparation and submission, contract negotiation, baseline, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, qualification, validation, production, and delivery.
- Coordinate with business management and functional management to ensure alignment of workload, staffing plans, work processes, and procedures.
- Plan and determine the most efficient method of achieving program objectives within technical capabilities, company procedures, and contractual requirements.
- Establish and maintain adequate controls to assure continuous analysis and measurement of performance against requirements, initiating corrective action as needed.
- Serve as the single point of contact for all programmatic internal and customer communications.
- Participate in new business proposals, project projections, and analysis of requirements.
- Assume responsibility for program profit, schedule, and technical performance.
- Prepare and present detailed program review packages to Senior management and customers.
- Lead risk and opportunity management for assigned programs.
- Program management expertise with a focus on engineering, aerospace defense, and project life cycle.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and ERP systems like Costpoint.
- Strong management and negotiation skills.
- Previous technical program management experience with high-reliability hardware requirements and RF component design, production, and testing.
- Experience with earned value, cost, and schedule management.
- Strong leadership skills to direct, motivate, and influence a team.
- Exceptional communication skills to address complex issues and action plans.
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience or a Graduate degree with a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
- Program management certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Current security clearance is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
This position operates in a standard manufacturing company environment. Candidates will have their own office space and will also be tasked with handling responsibilities on the floor with engineers and technicians. The role requires effective communication across a wide spectrum of people.
